Ok,so things went kind of dead for a bit due to computer issues and the chaos that is the end of a semester. Luckily though my computer is up and running again and the semester is over which means more time to shoot. In my last post I mentioned having some stuff I had shot with film before Thanksgiving. Well I managed to get some but not all of it ready to be put up on here but that didn't happen instead I only got one or two images that came out well enough, So I'm going to keep working on that as well as be shooting more pretty soon. I did have time between classes Wednesday to go out and shoot so I wandered around the neighborhood by the campus and then to downtown Amarillo to shoot some. These are some of the better images from what I had shot that day.
While there really aren't that many that came out the way that I had hoped I still had fun going around and taking these pictures. As much as I enjoy shooting on 6th street it was kind of nice to take pictures somewhere else to change it up a bit as I would hate for taking pictures on 6th street to get stale since it's a an area that I love to take pictures of. So I'll hopefully have more pictures up pretty soon and will keep working on the pictures from the rangefinder to see what I can get.

Monday, December 5, 2011
Well I finally got my computer back Saturday night and when out and shot a little bit Sunday, though because of the weather being so bad it was pretty uneventful. Hopefully I'll have a chance to shoot a bit more pretty soon since the semester is about to end. I'm also looking at posting some pictures I took right before Thanksgiving with a 35mm rangefinder that I was allowed to borrow ,which I really enjoyed as I'd never shot with one before. so there will be more stuff coming soon as long as there are no more computer issues.

Second Weekend on 6th Street
Well I had a chance to go out and shoot again on Saturday and ended up with a few pictures that I liked. I do kind of wish there where more but I guess that's part of shooting somewhere that changes every week, somedays or just going to be more ctive than others. Anyway here are those images and I'll be shooting more again over the weekend. Again these are just a couple of the images while the rest will be up on Flickr as I'm still trying to decide if I want to keep showing my work this way or posting all of them on my blog as well as Flickr.

First Pictures from 6th Street
Well after posting last night I went in and picked out some of the pictures from last weekend that I had taken on 6th street. These are just a couple of my images which you can also see along with a few others on my Flickr. Hopefully I'll get to go and take more pictures over the weekend again which will mean I should have more posted sometime early in the week.

Starting Over
Originally this post was going to have a name along the lines of "overhaul" but I quickly realized that wouldn't really be correct since this blog only really ever had one post and a handful of images I had done in my Digital Imaging II class. This is more of a restart though it will always mainly be a way for me to put out what I do in a way that gets feedback and follows my progress in a way that will help me grow as a photographer.
With that I guess the next thing to explain is what has changed. As I have been going through classes to earn a degree in photography there have been many different styles that have piqued my interest and some that I had seriously considered as what I wanted to do as a photographer but none has seemed to do so as much as street photography. It is safe to say that street photography has started to become something more than just a passing interest as I have spent more and more time going out and spending time on the streets of Amarillo capturing the various people and things that gives the city life.
So with all of that I guess the only thing left to say is changers are being made both in my work and to this website so bare with me. More posts and pictures really will be up soon.
